This year we enter our 50th year in the travel industry and we have been lucky enough to send our staff members on some truly wonderful educational trips.

Italy is a large country in Southern Europe with high art and mountains everywhere around the country. Italy is also extremely well known for its delicious cuisine, its trendy fashions, luxurious sports cars, as well as its many beautiful coasts, alpine lakes and mountains.

I’m very excited as the taxi nears my destination today as I’m visiting Yas Island and the Yas Island Rotana and the Centro! Both hotels are conveniently located on the spectacular Yas Island, a breathtaking new destination, a few minutes from the Formula 1 Race Track, the Links Golf Club, the Yas Southern Marina and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

I have only been in Abu Dhabi for a day but I seem to be getting my bearings already. I am taking a taxi from my hotel to the Park Rotana and I sense that I am heading out of the city back towards the airport. My hotel is in the Tourist Club Area and it takes me around 20 minutes to reach the hotel. The taxi costs a huge AED23, around £5.00!!

Adjacent to the Park Rotana is the Park Aarjan offering a contemporary mixed-use business and residential complex. Park Arjaan by Rotana Abu Dhabi is the second property to open under Rotana's newly launched brand "Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana", and offers a “home away from home” concept.

Centro is the budget brand of Rotana but let me please stress; this cannot be compared to UK budget brands!! Rotana promote the property as 3*. Rooms are lovely and have a clever use of space, 22sqm. They only have a shower room, therefore no bath. With a clever use of mirrors, the rooms appear much bigger than they are.
