5*Park Rotana – Abu Dhabi

I have only been in Abu Dhabi for a day but I seem to be getting my bearings already. I am taking a taxi from my hotel to the Park Rotana and I sense that I am heading out of the city back towards the airport. My hotel is in the Tourist Club Area and it takes me around 20 minutes to reach the hotel. The taxi costs a huge AED23, around £5.00!!
This is very much a business property and looks so from the outside. Wow, the lobby/reception area is very bright with lots of natural daylight and very modern, almost minimalistic in comparison to the Beach Rotana. Again I am greeted with a smile and asked to take another comfortable seat whilst waiting for this morning’s host, Mr Tarek Hammoud. Again I notice the familiar Rotana hospitality and I have to say I am really impressed. The staff are almost invisible but are there immediately should they see that you need any kind of help and again those warm smiles.
This hotel is situated next to Khalifa Park, which is a really beautiful recreation area, with an aquarium and a museum.
There are over 300 rooms here. I can’t get over how wide the corridors are withbeautiful Italian art work on each floor. Despite being a large property, it’s so quiet! I adore the bedrooms, they are sooo stylish and spacious. Colours are calm and cooling, browns and aqua blues and greens. The Club Rotana Rooms have the same stylish flair but in warmer colours of reds and browns. The Club Rotana Lounge is tranquil and inviting and again offers meeting and business facilities along with refreshments, breakfast and an evening drinks reception.
