Centro – Yas Island

Centro is the budget brand of Rotana but let me please stress; this cannot be compared to UK budget brands!! Rotana promote the property as 3*. Rooms are lovely and have a clever use of space, 22sqm. They only have a shower room, therefore no bath. With a clever use of mirrors, the rooms appear much bigger than they are. Its 3* rating only comes from the lack of onsite facilities -there isn’t a restaurant although there is a gorgeous deli where you can pick up wraps, salads, cold drinks etc. Each room has its own empty fridge which enables guests to stock up from the Deli.
In the reception area there are 2 Internet PC’s which are free for guests to use. The rooms do not have WIFI/Internet access.
The pool area is very inviting and there is a small gym. Still big but small in size compared to the Yas Rotanas’.
The really good thing with the Centro is that all of the facilities at the Yas Rotana are interchangeable, so you can bill back meals taken to your room account at Centro etc.
Again, I really liked this hotel, and whilst the rooms are smaller you get an awful lot more for your money compared to what you would receive when booking a budget hotel in the UK.
