Your Financial Protection

All air inclusive holiday packages shown on our website are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. The Travel Bureau acts as a travel and booking agent for Principals and tour operators providing the relevant services and with whom your contract will be made. The Travel Bureau is also fully licensed with the Civil Aviation Authority to sell holidays as a principal which means that your money is protected should you book a holiday under our ATOL 5322 – please see booking conditions for more information. ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services on this website.  We will confirm what protection may apply to your travel arrangements at the time of booking.   

APC – ATOL Protection Contribution

The price of holiday packages includes the amount of £2.50 per person as part of the ATOL PROTECTION CONTRIBUTION (APC) we pay to the CAA.  This charge is included in our advertised prices.

ABTA Bonding

Travel Bureau is a member of ABTA (ABTA 59004) www.abta.com  This means we lodge a bond with the Association of British Travel Agents,   In the unlikely event that we cease trading the bond would be used to refund any monies paid to us for holidays or travel arrangements such as but not limited to accommodation only, rail inclusive packages etc which are not air inclusive.  Air inclusive holidays are covered by the CAA ATOL scheme.

Booking Terms & Conditions 

Balance Payments

All final balances must be paid 12 weeks before departure.  If the balance is not paid we reserve the right to cancel your reservation. 

Credit Card Charges

We do not make any charges for payments by debit card. Payment by credit cards is subject to a 2% handling fee

Financial Protection

When you buy an ATOL protected air holiday package from The Travel Bureau (Windgrove Ltd) you will receive a Confirmation Invoice from us confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL number 5322 or our suppliers ATOL number.  This will be clearly shown on the invoice.  In the unlikely event of our insolvency or our supplier’s insolvency the CAA will ensure you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money that you have paid to us for an advance booking.  For further information visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk Included in the price of our air holiday packages is the amount of £2.50 per person as part of the ATOL Protection Contribution (APC) we pay to the CAA.  This charge is included in our advertised prices.  Not all holidays or travel services offered and sold by us will be protected by the ATOL Scheme. Insurance

It is booking condition of all tour operators and suppliers that you have adequate travel insurance, in the case that you decline insurance you may be asked to sign an indemnity form or provide details and evidence of alternative cover.

Privacy Policy

Any data collected from clients by e-mail or other means will be used in a fair way and only for the purposes of making any bookings requested.  As agents, we are required to pass information on to tour operators, airlines and other principals so that travel arrangements can be made.  Any sensitive information given to us (eg. Special dietary requirements, disability information on to ground handling agents at airports) needs to be passed on to principals in order to facilitate bookings.  These principals may then pass the information on to ground handlings agents at airports, hoteliers etc.  This is necessary to enable bookings to be effected.  For bookings to destinations outside the European Union (EU) information will have to be transferred to non-EU countries who may have lower standards of data protection law than the UK. However, The Travel Bureau is not aware that this has ever caused a problem.

Any personal information we may hold about you can be provided to you upon request. If you have subscribed to our newsletter or email updates you will receive promotional mailings and emails from The Travel Bureau. Your personal details will not be passed to any third parties except as necessary to process your booking or enquiry. 

Passports, Visas And Health Certificates

Passengers must be in possession of a valid passport and necessary visa (s) and health certificates in case of passengers being refused entry by any immigration or other authority – should passengers require repatriation all costs are to be borne by the passenger. 

Your Holiday Contract 

When you make a booking you guarantee that you have the authority to accept and do accept on behalf of your party the terms of these booking conditions.  A contract will exist as soon as the booking is confirmed.  The contract will be filed by The Travel Bureau (Windgrove Ltd) and will be concluded in English.  Confirmation is given in the form of an ATOL receipt for flight inclusive bookings.  This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions which are governed by English law, and the jurisdiction of the English Courts.  Please note that suppliers and principals may apply terms and conditions at the time of booking that are not stated here, please check these terms and conditions at the time of booking
