Solo, But Not Alone

Solo travel is a wonderful way to enjoy a little independence and spend time doing the things that you enjoy the most, without debate or interruption. Solo doesn’t necessarily mean single either, a growing number of couples opt to take separate holidays in order to pursue interests that their partner doesn’t share. Historically, the solo traveller has had a bit of a rough deal with hefty supplements on single rooms and cabins. Travelling solo as part of a group however you can avoid these supplements. Some operators will pair you up in a shared room with another traveller of the same sex and others have negotiated favourable single rates with hotels, some even drop the single supplement altogether.
